George T. and Buela May Hatton Scholarship

The George T. and Beula May Hatton Scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore student majoring in business administration. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; and full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more). Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Hatton became residents of Levelland in 1939 and operated Hatton Oil Co., a wholesale and retail outlet for gas and oil products. He later served as a director and vice president at Levelland State Bank. Mrs. Hatton died in 1981 and Mr. Hatton established this scholarship fund in his wife’s memory. He died in 1995.
