Cindy Garcia Memorial Scholarship in Respiratory Care

This scholarship program remembers Cindy Garcia, a graduate of SPC who served 17 years as a lead respiratory therapist with University Medical Center in Lubbock. It is awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in the College’s Respiratory Care Program. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; and full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more). The scholarship program was initiated by Dr. Cynthia Jumper, professor and chair of internal medicine and associate dean of human services management at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and was also funded by the UMC Foundation.
