Academic Promise Scholarship

The Academic Promise Scholarship is available for students who plan to major in sociology (first preference) or psychology at South Plains College. The scholarship was established by Loy and Jana Daniel of Brownfield, Texas, and their son Brant Farrar of Lubbock, Texasm all three of whom are alumni of SPC. In addition, Mrs. Daniel and Mr. Farrar are professors at SPC teaching sociology in the Behavioral Science Department. The scholarship was named because of the promise SPC makes to support the success of students, as well as the promise scholarship recipients make to work to be successful in their coursework. In order to be considered, applicants must enroll in at lease 12 semester credit hours as a full-time student and have a minimum 2.50 grade point average.
