Ray and Donna West Nursing Scholarship

The Ray and Donna West Nursing Scholarship is awarded to students who enroll in the Associate Degree Nursing or Vocational Nursing Programs at SPC. First consideration is given to students who are residents of Baily County, Texas. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The program was established by Ray and Donna West of Midland to assist graduates of Muleshoe High School attending SPC and to support students from Bailey County enrolled in SPC nursing programs. Mr. West grew up in Muleshoe and graduated from Muleshoe High. He obtained his bachelor?s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma and worked as an engineer and consultant until his retirement. The Wests established these scholarships in their spirit of ?giving back to their hometown community.?
