Burnett and Martha Roberts Memorial Scholarship
The Burnett and Martha Roberts Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore student who exemplifies academic merit, personal character and leadership. Minimum qualifications include: 3.00 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The late Burnett and Martha Roberts established four scholarship programs at South Plains College in memory of family members. Burnett Roberts served 16 years on the SPC Foundation Board of Directors and supported numerous community and civic projects during his lifetime. This scholarship program was established by Mr. Roberts in memory of his wife, Martha, who died in 1997. Mr. Roberts died in 1999.
