Western Swing Society Scholarship

The Western Swing Society Scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore commercial music students who is studying this music genre. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The Western Swing Society has provided this scholarship for talented commercial music majors since 1992. Based in Sacramento, Calif., the society was directed by Dean McKinney Moore, wife to Billie “Tiny” Moore who is best known for his association with Western Swing master Bob Wills.
