Samuel and Juanita Montez Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the youth of St. Michael Catholic Church and the family and friends of Samuel Montez, Sr. Mr. Montez, who worked at SPC in the 1970s as a custodian, was an active adult leader of the church’s youth program for many years prior to his death in 2001. Five of the Montez’s 14 children have attended SPC. The scholarship is awarded to an SPC student who is a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Levelland and who has been involved in the church’s youth program. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
