Lynne Quillian Scholarship for Licensed Vocational Nursing
A retired nurse after 40-years as an LVN, Lynne Quillian practiced not only in the hospital setting, but also in a variety of clinical settings including urology, cardiology, family medicine and as a private duty special needs ventilation nurse. In every setting she was known as a uniquely compassionate and skilled care-giver. She had a significant influence on future medical professionals during her years spent as a high school health occupations teacher who established the nurse aide program at Hempstead (Texas) High School. She graduated from Blinn College in Brenham, Texas which is the community college from which SPC’s first president, Dr. Thomas Spencer, came. This scholarship supports the student who desires to provide excellent first-hand patient care as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
