South Plains Chapter API Paul Musslewhite Scholarship in Engineering

In 1970, the South Plains Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute Chapter began contributing scholarship funds to support selected technical programs and the pre-engineering program. The South Plains Chapter API Scholarship is one of the longest standing scholarship programs at SPC. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more) in pre-engineering; and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The late Paul Musslewhite, founder of Musslewhite Trucking in Levelland, helped establish the scholarship fund and support the program for many years. The South Plains API Chapter established the scholarship in Mr. Musslewhite’s honor and memory.
