Amy Drennan Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship endowment was established by Chad and Jody Drennan of Levelland, Texas in memory of Mr. Drennan’s sister Amy Lynn Drennan who died in March 2010. Prior to a life-changing incident at age 14 that left her disabled for 20 years, Amy had planned to attend South Plains College to study to become a public school teacher, specializing in deaf education. In order to be considered for the scholarship, candidates must be a returning sophomore (at least 30 semester credit hours completed), have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50, and enroll full-time as a teacher education major. First preference will be given to a student who have been honorably discharged from any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and who plans to major in teacher education. This preference allows the award to be awarded to an entering freshman student.
