Susan E. Rushing Memorial Scholarship

Susan Rushing entered graduate school at the age of 46 to obtain the degree that would allow her to service as a staff member at South Plains College. She served the students of SPC for almost eleven years, retiring in 2001. To honor her memory and dedication to the College, her daughter, Andrea Bodine, and widower, Randy Rushing, established this endowment in 2019. Preference is for a first generation college student or non-traditional student, a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and a major of education or health occupations.
