Valerie Job South Plains Foreign Language Collaborative Scholarship
The Valerie Job South Plains Foreign Language Collaborative Scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore student majoring in foreign language. Minimum qualifications include: 3.25 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); enrollment in Spanish language courses; and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Preference is given to applicants who have attended the South Plains Foreign Language Collaborative Festival or who are a graduate of a high school that is a Collaborative member. The scholarship program was established by the South Plains Foreign Language Collaborative to honor the leadership of Dr. Valerie Job who taught Spanish at South Plains College for 15 years.
