Tom Upshaw Memorial Scholarship

In 1980, Mrs. Brenda Ainsworth established two scholarship in loving memory of her parents, Tom and Iris Upshaw. These were the first two endowed scholarship programs at South Plains College. Mr. Upshaw was a druggist and owner/operator of Upshaw Drug Store in Levelland. The scholarship is given to an outstanding pre-pharmacy student. Mrs. Ainsworth served 28 years as a member of the SPC Foundation Committee and the Foundation Board of Directors.
