Rube Morris Memorial Scholarship in Welding Technology
The Rube Morris Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in the Welding Technology program. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. This scholarship, established by Mike Worley and Janna Worley, honors the memory of Otis M. “Rube” Morris, a long-time Hockley County welder who worked with J. Murrell Brown and Murrell’s Welding Works in Levelland. Mr. Morris was a mentor to Mr. Worley who owns and operates Worley Welding Works in Levelland.
