Roland Martin Memorial Scholarship

The Roland Martin Memorial Scholarship was established by the Martin family to benefit a graduate of Sundown High School who chooses to attend South Plains College. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of scholastic excellence, extracurricular leadership and personal character. Roland Martin was the owner and operator of Sundown Meter Service for many years and was a respected businessman in the Sundown community.
