Heath Wright "What You Leave Behind" Scholarship

Lead singer of the band Ricochet, Heath Wright is grateful for the education he received as a South Plains College student. Though he had already earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, Wright enrolled at SPC to study music. He was awarded the Nathan Tubb Scholarship, which helped him complete his coursework and earn his associate degree in commercial music in May 1993. Paying it forward and in homage to Ricochet’s third album for Columbia Records, Heath established the What You Leave Behind endowment to benefit a student enrolled in the Commercial Music program.
