Levelland Progressive Women's Club Scholarship

The Levelland Progressive Women’s Club has been providing scholarship support to SPC students since 1990. In 2018, the Club donated to establish an endowed fund so scholarships can be provided in perpetuity. The Levelland Progressive Women’s Club began in the 1970s as a junior Women’s Club. A few years later, the club changed its affiliation and became focused on community service. The Progressive Women’s Club has supported many community causes including Meals on Wheels, Prom Night and Adult Protective Services. For many years, the Club provided a $500 scholarship in the fall and spring to assist female high school graduates. Because the Club exists to support the local community, first preference for this scholarship is for a Hockley County high school graduate.
