Altrusa Club of Lubbock Jewell Foster Memorial Scholarship

The Altrusa Club of Lubbock has established the Jewell Foster Memorial Scholarship in memory of a beloved long-time member. Ms. Foster was a public school teacher, guidance counselor and vocational education coordinator in the Lubbock Independent School District. She served as a vocational counselor for South Plains College’s Lubbock Main Street Campus for eight years after retiring from LISD. Altrusa is an international organization that provides opportunities for its members to make the local community better through leadership, partnership and service. The scholarship recognizes an outstanding student in an SPC technical education program.
