Jewelene Weber Memorial Scholarship in Nursing

The Jewelene Weber Memorial Scholarship in Nursing assists a student who plans to pursue a nursing career. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, personal character and community service. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average and enroll as a full time students (12 semester credit hours or more.) First consideration is given to a graduate of Whiteface High School. This scholarship was established by Wade Taylor of Whiteface, Texas in memory of family friend, Jewelene Weber who died in 2013. Ms. Weber knew she wanted enter the field of nursing from a young age, working in a doctor’s office as a high school student in Borger, Texas. She studied to become a registered nurse and worked as a school nurse at Whiteface CISD for 25 years.
