J.P. and Judy Rose Memorial Scholarship

The J.P. and Judy Rose Memorial Scholarship is a general college scholarship that is awarded to an incoming freshman who is a graduate of a high school in Hockley County. First preference is given to Levelland High School graduates and second preference is Whiteface High School graduates. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. This scholarship honors the memory of J.P. and Judy Rose of Levelland. Mr. Rose was senior drilling superintendent for Norton Drilling Company and Mrs. Rose was a homemaker at the time of their deaths in 1998. The scholarship was established by their son Rusty Rose and daughter Karen Rose Durrett.
