Diesel Service Technology Program Scholarship

Spearheaded by the leadership of retired SPC Diesel Service Technology program coordinator Whitney Owens, the funds for this scholarship were raised by Diesel Service Technology program students. Since 2006, Mr. Owens facilitated the students’ participation in fundraisers like a paintball activity at SPC’s annual community Halloween Carnival and the collection and sale of scrap metal. With countless coffee cans of coins and cash over the years, the dedication to the project paid off in 2018 when their savings finally totaled $10,000. This scholarship benefits a sophomore in the Diesel Service Technology program who is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree or certificate of proficiency.
