Joe Carr and Alan Munde Scholarship

Faculty member Joe Carr and retired faculty member Alan Munde have established a scholarship that recognizes an outstanding student who is studying bluegrass music in the Commercial Music program. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); demonstrated musical talent through audition; and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Carr and Munde were the founding members of the noted Bluegrass band Country Gazette prior to joining SPC. Since his retirement, Mr. Munde has re-established the band which is now performing throughout the southwest.
