Edward and Jeanne John Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship has been established by Stephan and Emmalie John of Levelland in memory of Mr. John’s parents. Edward John’s career with Southwester Bell Telephone/AT&T spanned forty two years. After his retirement, he was engaged in ranching in Carrizo Springs, TX. Mrs. John worked in the Dimmit County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office as chief deputy and was later elected to the office of County Tax Assessor-Collector, a position she held for twenty two years. This general scholarship honors their devotion to their family and their involvement in their community.
