Jim and Robbie Walker Family Scholarship

This scholarship has been established by the Rev. Jim and Robbie Walker of Lubbock, Texas for the benefit of students who are preparing for a career as a public school teacher. Eligible recipients must be teacher education majors or enrolled in the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) program. In order to qualify, applicants must have and maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average and enroll as a full-time students (minimum 12 semester hours), and be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident. First choice is given to first generation college students. Mr. Walker worked at South Plains College for 22 years, retiring in 2015 as vice president for academic affairs. Mrs. Walker worked and taught as a public school librarian for Levelland ISD.
