James and Mildred Mongtomery Scholarship

This scholarship was established by James and Mildred Montgomery of Levelland to assist a student majoring in accounting. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Mr. Montgomery served as a member of the SPC Board of Regents from 1996 to 2010. He owned and operated Hockley County Abstract Company for 40 years and is a past Levelland City Mayor. Mrs. Montgomery was a former educator who taught home economics for 35 years in public schools in Amarillo and Levelland. Mrs. Montgomery died in 2011.
