Tiny Moore Memorial Scholarship

The Tiny Moore Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student performer in the Commercial Music program. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more) in commercial music; and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. This scholarship honors the memory of Billie “Tiny” Moore who was a long-time member of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys and also performed with Merle Haggard and Moon Mullican. He was the co-inventor of the five-string electric mandolin. An avid supporter of SPC"s country music program, the scholarship was established by Mr. Moore’s wife Dean and children.
