Etta Charlene Blume Memorial Scholarship

The Etta Charlene Blume Scholarship was established by Phelps and Dianne Blume of Levelland in memory of Mr. Blume’s mother taught for 25 years in public schools in Amherst and Sudan. She taught first through sixth grades and also served as an assistant to the Amherst High girls basketball coach before leaving teaching to raise her family. Phelps Blume has worked as a certified public accountant in Levelland for the past 30 years and is a partner in the firm of Myatt and Blume. Dianne Blume is a homemaker who is also a seamstress and quilt-maker. The scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student who is majoring in accounting or finance. In order to be eligible, student must have completed at least 30 semester credit hours at SPC (sophomore standing), enroll as a full-time student (minimum 12 semester credit hours) and be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident. The recipient must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
