Fred and Bettye Harris Memorial Scholarship in Music

The Fred and Bettye Harris Memorial Scholarship program benefits a student majoring in music or the fine arts. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); demonstrated musical talent through audition; and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Fred Harris served 12 years as director of development at SPC and secretary-treasurer of the SPC Foundation. Following his retirement from SPC, he remained involved with the annual South Plains Big Band Orchestra Dance and Concert each spring.
