E. Wade and Lori Wilson Scholarship in Kinesiology

The E. Wade and Lori Wilson Scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore student majoring in kinesiology. Minimum qualifications include: 2.50 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The scholarship program has been established by Wade and Lori Oswalt Wilson of Lubbock. Mrs. Wilson, originally from Abernathy, was a Lady Texan basketball player during the 1980-81 and 1981-82 seasons. While at SPC, her life was positively touched by PE instructor Judy Bryant. They have established this scholarship in part to honor Professor Bryant who retired as chairperson of the Physical Education Department in 2011 and also to offer financial support to future students studying in the department. Mrs. Wilson served as a member of the South Plains College Foundation Board of Directors, prior to her death in 2015
