Cole Family Scholarship

The Cole Family Scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore student who exhibits outstanding qualities of scholarship, personal character and leadership. Minimum qualifications include: 3.00 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more) in an associate degree program; and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Financial need may be a consideration. This scholarship program honors a long-time Hockley County family that has supported education and young people in many ways. The Cole Family Scholarship was established by brother and sister Jim Cole and Sue Jo Cole of Levelland. The scholarship fund honors their father and mother, the late Percy and Maude Cole, and their sister, the late Jane Cole and brother, the late John Cole. Mr. Cole serves on the board of directors of the South Plains College Foundation.
