George and Ophelia Price Memorial Scholarship

The names of George and Butch Price are synonymous with community service, caring and giving in the Levelland community. To perpetuate these values, they established a scholarship program for students majoring in pre-medicine. Minimum qualifications include: 3.00 grade point average; full-time enrollment (12 semester hours or more); and U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The Prices owned and operated George Price Funeral Directors for more than 45 years. The late George Price and his wife Ophelia, better known in the community by her nickname “Butch” established a scholarship program to assist students majoring in a medical field. Mrs. Price died in 2013.
