Dan and Carolyn Hook Honorary Scholarship

This scholarship program was established by Dan and Carolyn Hook of Levelland to provide tuition and fee assistance for a student who is enrolled in the Vocational Nursing program. Mr. Hook has practiced law in Levelland for more than 50 years and served as the College’s attorney for 33 years before retiring from that position. During his tenure, he was general counsel to four SPC presidents. His community service has included a term as president of the Levelland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and volunteer work with youth baseball and basketball programs. He and his wife Carolyn are long-time supporters of SPC Texan Athletics and members of the Texan Club. He has been the owner of Hockley County Abstract Company for 20 years. Mrs. Hook taught at West Elementary with Levelland ISD for 11 years and has also been actively involved in the community. In order to be considered, students must submit an SPC General Scholarship Application, be admitted to the Vocational Nursing program, and maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
